We have been appointed by Octagon Developments to create a luxury bespoke kitchen and family room for their new ‘Crossacres’ home – on the market on the Wentworth private estate in Virginia Water, Surrey, for £17.5 million.
This follows a recent interior design commission for an Octagon home in St George’s Hill, Weybridge.
The Crossacres property, spanning 15,000 sq ft, is one of the most prestigious new homes in Octagon’s portfolio.
It includes, over three floors: seven bedroom suites, six reception rooms, staff accommodation, underground garaging, a leisure complex with indoor and outdoor pools and a gym, a cinema room, two acres of landscaped gardens and an all-weather tennis court.
Our team is designing a luxurious kitchen and family area for the property, with all the cabinetry to be hand-made by our craftsmen.
The kitchen is part of a free-flowing area, entered into from the main hallway. There are further entrance ways from the kitchen to a formal dining room plus, through double doors to be integrated into a wall of bespoke cabinets, a family TV room.
The kitchen cabinets will be hand-veneered in figured Sycamore, stained to a luxuriously deep ‘Persian grey’ and finished in high-gloss lacquer.
The cabinet doors will have an inset chamfer detail to the handle areas, which will be treated with a ‘moon gold’ metallic finish and polished stainless steel. All handles will be hand-made in chrome uniquely for this kitchen.
The main run of units – set flush within the wall – will be crafted to house the latest Gaggenau appliances: a fridge/freezer, two conventional ovens, a steam oven, a coffee machine and warming drawers.
We will also be creating a four metre long island unit. This will incorporate a breakfast bar with mirrored doors beneath, a dishwasher, two wine coolers, an induction hob with down-draught extraction and a sink with Quooker boiling water tap and filter system.
One wall of storage cabinets will incorporate a 55-inch TV, surrounded by a frame with chamfer detailing and ‘moon gold’ and polished stainless steel finishes to match the rest of the kitchen.
The kitchen will be completed this summer, as Octagon completes the rest of the property.
